Join the San Ramon Police Department for the Fall 2025 Community Academy!
This free, 14-session program is designed to build stronger connections between the Department and the community. Taught by officers and Department staff, the course combines lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities covering topics such as patrol, investigations, traffic stops, DUI enforcement, and legal authority. Participants will take field trips to the Marsh Creek shooting range, a high-speed driving course, and the Martinez Detention Facility.
Open to adults 18 and older who live or work in San Ramon, the Academy runs from August 20 to November 12, 2025. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., with two Saturday sessions on September 20 and October 18. Space is limited, and all applicants must pass a background check.
