Amber Dyson is a theatre educator specializing in collaboration and ensemble work who is passionate about guiding students to unlock and love their own unique voices as performers. She has taught theatre classes in San Ramon through Bay Area Children's Theatre since 2009. Under her tutelage, BACT's Young and Little Performers programs in San Ramon grew from one to five days a week (pre-COVID), and the capacity of summer camps expanded from 25 to 50 students... even with double-casting, camps frequently had a robust waitlists. Additionally, Amber trained all of the other BACT teaching artists in San Ramon. As students grew up and aged out of BACT's programming, dozens of San Ramon students continued to benefit from the training and experience garnered through the student leadership program she implemented in San Ramon classes; many of these students went on to be employed by BACT. In 2016, Amber recruited 14 San Ramon students for BACT's inaugural Advanced Performer production of Honk Jr, which was recognized for Excellence in Dance at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta. Over the years, Amber's Advanced Performer casts have continued to be recognized at the Junior Theatre Festival West across all categories, including Excellence in Dance, Acting, Music, and Ensemble, Excellence in Student Direction, Best Performance by an Individual, and three-time winners of the Tech Olympics. Amber was honored to be entrusted with pilot productions of Madgascar, Jr., Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr., and Hans Christian Anderson Jr., all of which were produced in San Ramon summer camps. She is a 2017 recipient of the Freddie Gershon Fellowship for Excellence in Musical Theatre Education.
James Daly is the owner and an instructor for San Ramon Academy of Music. He believes in developing more than just “good musicians.” He strives to use music as a vehicle to develop the skills that make us better people; empathy, patience, perseverance, courage, and optimism. This inextricable connection of your ‘best self’ and ‘best musician’ is why he has had the privilege of working with some of his students for years. Music is a powerful vehicle for some of life’s most important lessons. For over 12 years he has taught piano, theory, and composition to students of all ages. He earned my bachelor’s degree in music from UC Berkeley with an emphasis on performance and composition, and written dozens of internationally performed piano works, chamber pieces, and orchestral music. He also studied at the University of Manchester and performed classical repertoire across Europe as both a soloist and accompanist. Aside from teaching, he enjoys spending my free time at the gym, cooking, drawing, and reading.

Snapology engages kids in an interactive learning experience by doing. Engaging the kids in “playful learning” stimulates their creativity and sparks an interest to learn especially. We give them a project or a problem to solve but in a way they understand as well as add materials new or unfamiliar like using tools, K’Nex, tying, common household items, etc.
Denise Lee loves how she’s found a way to engage kids with Snapology’s activities as they want to return and try something again or new. She will challenge them progressively , requiring them to listen and use teamwork. The accomplishment of seeing a kid or team succeed is wonderful as they want to continue on the learning journey.
