Memorial Program

Join the City of San Ramon as we honor fallen service members on Memorial Day 2024 at Memorial Park.  The Memorial Program will last for approximately 1 hour.

• Presentation of Colors by San Ramon Police Department Honor Guard

•  Star Spangled Banner performed by Yolanda Vega, Gold Star Mothers of CC County 

•  Memorial Day Welcome by Henry Perezalonso, Town of Danville Recreation, Arts & Community Services Director

•  Memorial Day Remarks by Dave Hudson, San Ramon Mayor

•  "America the Beautiful" by Olympia Fields Brass

•  Remarks by Patrick R. Leary, US Army & National Guard Veteran; Vietnam Veterans of Diablo Valley

•  Remarks provided by Yolanda Vega, Gold Star Mothers of Contra Costa County

•  Veterans Recognition & Presentation of Challenge Coins San Ramon City Council

•  "The Armed Forces Medley" by Olympia Fields Brass

•  Remarks provided by Luisa Oriti, Blue Star Moms Chapter 101

•  Poetry Reading by Jenyth Jo Gearhart-Utchen, San Ramon Poet Laureate

•  "The Navy Hymn (Eternal Father)"by Olympia Fields Brass

Commemorative Field of Flags
9:00 am -4:00 pm 

The Commemorative Field of Flags provides an opportunity for community members to have a temporary flag placed in honor of a fallen service member or deceased Veteran at the Memorial Day Program.  Members of the community are invited to place a flag in the field during the ceremony or you can fill out this online Flag Request Form to have a flag placed for them by our staff.
