 Overview and Timeline 

The City of San Ramon has begun its annual budget process.

This process will develop the City’s operating budget for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY2026), which begins on July 1, 2025 and ends on June 30, 2026.

The City Council is required to pass a balanced budget no later than June 30, 2025, which will be effective July 1, 2025.

Current Status 

As part of the regular City Council Meeting on Tuesday, March 25, City staff provided an overview of:

  • FY25 Mid-Year Operating Budget
  • Projected Fund Balance and Reserve Policy
  • Status of FY26 Budget Development
  • FY26 Budget Calendar

Upcoming Meetings

The first Budget Workshop will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 as part of a Special City Council Meeting.

This meeting is open to the public, and will include time for public comment.

The agenda with full details will be posted 72 hours ahead of the meeting at sanramon.ca.gov/meeting

The meeting will also be streamed live on the City's YouTube channel, and a recording will be available to watch afterward.

Dates of future budget meetings will be posted on this page are they are confirmed.
