State law  Assembly Bill 341 (AB 341)(Chapter 476, Statutes of 2011 [Chesbro, AB 341]), California is one of the first states in the nation to enact a statewide program to conserve natural resources by diverting commercial solid waste from landfills. All businesses and public entities in California that subscribe to four or more cubic yards of garbage service per week are required by State law to implement a recycling program. State law  Assembly Bill 1826 (AB 1826) also requires businesses to recycle their organic materials.  All businesses and public entities in California that subscribe to four or more cubic yards of garbage and recycling service per week or required by State law to implement an organics recycling program.  Organics include food scraps, food soiled paper products (paper towels, napkins, cups, plates, etc.), plants, yard trimmings, and clean wood.  For more information about AB 1826,     please visit CalRecycle's Website.

SAN RAMON BUSINESSES HAVE A CHOICE
You can hire one of the permitted recycling companies listed below to collect recyclables from your property. Please note that there is often a charge for commercial recyclables collection service. The City of San Ramon does not set the rates charged by the recycling companies, except for ACI. The City encourages businesses to request price quotes from at least two different companies to ensure that you obtain competitive pricing.
