RECREATION THERAPY

Recreation Therapy in the community setting is the provision of activities and programs designed and adapted to meet the specific needs of people with disabilities or other identified populations in need of specialized programming. A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), or a Recreation Therapist Certified (RTC) develops and supervises these programs.

CLASSES

Adapted Dance & Movements

Adapted Dance and Movements is based on basic ballet, including styles such as jazz and contemporary dance. The class will consist of warm ups (center and barre), across the floor, and combinations. Students will learn the importance of being present and mindful, along with feeling welcome to express themselves through dance. This class is best suited for mild to moderate teens and young adults.
